Well, that didn’t quite go as planned. The blog, I mean.
Even as I posted way back in February about just getting on with it already, I didn’t follow my own advice when it came to writing about music recording, production, and miscellany. Though I’ve certainly had countless ideas for posts and seen tons of noteworthy music-related things all over this here Internet, I was waiting for that “perfect post” to pop into my brain. Clearly, it never came, and the blog sat dormant, unlike our good friend Eyjafjallajökull.
I do have a somewhat acceptable reason for neglecting the blog: I’ve been super busy, splitting my time between Kingsize Soundlabs, Bedrock, and a number of freelance projects. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some terrific producers and bands (in various capacities) such as Linus of Hollywood and George Glass. And of course, I must mention the recently-completed record by own band, The Early.
That’s a lot of links, but I needed to make up for lost time. Anyway, I plan on making this a more regular occurrence. Look for upcoming posts on ear training, “sonic varnish,” and possibly some gear reviews as well. Of course, if you check out any of the posted links and your brain starts-a-whirrin’ in agreement or uncontainable rage, post a comment here and let me know what you think.
